If you are getting married...you will not find a better deal than Sweet Briar's. It's a beautiful venue and thousands less than the rest! My fiance and I are getting married in 2022, and put a down payment at Sweet Briar's. The food is amazing (we went to a taste testing).
I have been to Sweet Briar Lodge for many events this past year, one for my close friends bridal shower (November 2018), one for my other close friends baby shower (February 2019), and then most recently (November 2019) for a Bridal wedding swap/sale.
We had my son’s graduation party here on 8/2/2020. The venue was excellent, laid back atmosphere but the staff was professional. Very attentive and personable service. Clean, neat, price was very affordable and was worth every penny so we didn’t ya e to host this party at our house.
The owners of this venue have nailed it! From the bartender to the wait staff, we were treated to top notch friendly “glad you chose us” service. The lodge was tastefully decorated and offered ample room for our dining and dancing that was enjoyed by all.
Getting married at Sweet Briar Lodge
Sweet Briar Lodge comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
