From the reviews
Found this farm on Groupon. Bought a deal for admissions. Regular admission fee is $5 per person. Then you can fill up an 8lb bag with Tango Tangerines for $20 or $2.50 a pound. The drive to the farm was easy on a dirt road once you’re on Avenida Del Oro, go through the entrance gate to the paved parking lot.
This was our third time visiting Sunmist Tangerine Farm, and we always have a great time. The owner is super friendly, and the tangerines are really sweet. You can pick and eat them for free while you’re there. They don’t use any pesticides.
Went on a Sunday in mid-Sept and it was very quiet. Gloomy day which is nice so it wasn’t too hot. We were the only ones there and the owner of the farm drove us to the hills with trees that had more tangerines. He gave us a staff to catch the harder to reach ones. Caution: the hills are very steep!
Came here for my 22nd birthday & it was my first time picking fruit! I couldn’t have had a better experience because of the owners! They take such great care of there customers and are nice enough to let you eat while you pick (so you know if you’ll like that trees fruit or not). Tangerines are $2.
Getting married at Sunmist Farm
Sunmist Farm comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
