I was so beyond pleased with photographing this beautiful venue for a wedding in Aptos, California. The grounds were beautiful, along with this home. In the morning, the sun streams through the trees and fog creating a magical glow everywhere you look.
This venue is absolutely stunning. Tania does so much as the owner. She is constantly improving the property and striving to make it better and better. She is very hands on and helpful in any way she can be. Pictures do not do this place any kind of justice.
Sparrow Valley Retreat was an absolute perfect venue for our private family wedding. This location is such an ideal place to relax and be one with nature – a rare moment in our life when we can escape from the bustling city life. The lodge and cathedral are impressively built and maintained.
We had such an unforgettable experience at Sparrow Valley Retreat for our elopement in the majestic California Redwoods! First and foremost, I must commend Tania for her exceptional level of accommodation. Despite our last-minute request, she went above and beyond to ensure that our elopement was saved.

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge.
