From the reviews
This is a unique venue that offers a romantic setting among a country east coast feel. The building came from Virginia and relocated in Gilbert. Originally built in 1842. Please come feel the charm of the Shenandoah Valley. Its very historic amd welcoming.
Great place for a reception. Indoors in the summer and outdoors in the winter. Beautifully landscaped grounds are great for pictures. All round event location in gilbert Arizona.
Nice cozy facility however it is too close to Gilbert Road which is very busy. We were at a wedding which was held on the lawn. The officiater was not given a sound system to use so we missed a lot of what he said when traffic was heavy... Which was pretty much constant.
Had our wedding here last week. Don is incredibly hospitable and works with you to get what you want. If it can't happen, he'll tell you straight up and offer every alternative. The venue is pretty flexible and will piecemeal everything (no luxury packages that are overly expensive or come with clutter!).
Getting married at Shenandoah Mill
Shenandoah Mill comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
