My husband and I picked the Senate Garage because we both went to Marist College nearby, we love the Hudson Valley and we absolutely love Kingston, NY. The Senate Garage matched our vibe as a couple very well (industrial brick) and we loved that it used to be a real garage.
We are so grateful for the wonderful experience we had for our wedding at the Senate Garage. April was such a joy to work with and such a reliable resource to have throughout the entire planning process. She answered all of our questions and gave us great recommendations.
We held our wedding at Senate Garage on 04/26/25 and we do not have enough good things to say about this place and the people there! Everything from the planning process to the venue itself to the bar to the day of coordination was nothing but perfect.
Our wedding day simply would not have been what it was if it wasn't for the raw space at Senate Garage and the incredible team that accompanied it. We began our search in NYC and the Hudson Valley last December and looked tirelessly before entering what seemed like our dream wedding venue.

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
