From the reviews
We recently celebrated our daughter’s graduation at Sassafras Winery, and it was an absolute dream from start to finish. The event was held in the Production Room, which provided a stunning and unique atmosphere—elegant, rustic, and beautifully set up for a memorable celebration. Every detail exceeded our expectations.
I visit local wineries wherever we travel to and this was hands down the best one yet. I was in awe of the beauty of this place from the min we pulled up. They thick cut their own meat and cheese for charcuterie boards and it was amazing. Little odd to not include the crackers but that’s okay.
Loved the property, as well as the food/wine. They have airbnbs on the property which I thought was unique. They also have wedding/event locations so it was nice strolling and seeing these as we passed the time. They had part of the winery booked for newlyweds so that was fun to see.
Obsessed would be an understatement. Such a beautiful location with an extensive patio, and varietal wine flight options. The pizza?! You can’t NOT get it. The service is on point and it’s such a relaxing spot to add to your weekend itinerary.
Getting married at Sassafras Springs Vineyard and Winery
Sassafras Springs Vineyard and Winery comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Sassafras Springs Vineyard and Winery
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Sassafras Springs Vineyard and Winery — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
