I want to recommend Rocklands Farm Winery as the best location for a wedding. We had ours on August 16th, and it was stunning – a dream come true! The location looks just like something out of a magazine – every corner is so beautiful and picturesque, you can hardly believe you are a part of it.
Rocklands Farm is a hands-down my favorite Maryland winery! The wine is always excellent - and I appreciate their commitment to low intervention, sustainable production. The staff, however, is the main reason to visit.
We had a great time here and enjoyed our flights - we got two flights of pick your own three. I liked three of the six, but not quite enough to buy any bottles. We also purchased some crackers, hummus, and almonds to snack on while we were there.
Rocklands Farm Winery was a pleasant surprise. The rustic farmland has a charming feel. From enjoying a flight while reading or a tasting of their "no sugar added" and "low to no sulfate" wines, there's plenty to take in and enjoy. Rockland Farm was a last minute find and we will definitely be back.
Getting married at Rocklands Farm Winery
Rocklands Farm Winery comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
