From the reviews
We had the most beautiful wedding at Van Hoosen. Jenna was so great to work with. She was helpful in answering questions and really went above and beyond the day of the wedding. The grounds were beautiful. They were so accommodating and had back up plans in case it rained (which it did before and after the wedding).
Today we visited Van Hoosen Farm for the annual train show which comes around each Christmas presented by Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club. The tickets for the show were very reasonable and also allowed my wife and I to visit the museum.
We rented the calf barn for a family celebration. Such a quaint and homey place. It was perfect in every way and the staff were so helpful in setting up the tables. The audio worked great for music and a slide show we put together. And the surroundings were beautiful with all the trees changing colors.
My daughter had her wedding here and it was beautiful. They have a place for the bride to get ready before the ceremony. The ceremony was held in front of a gazebo. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. They have a small stream with a bridge. Everything was magical... it was so beautiful.
Getting married at Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm
Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
