PROS: Great location for a large company venue!! CONS: NO CELL SERVICE!!! Bring your own satellite kinda thing because there's no way to phone home here
Came here to watch the solar eclipse with friends. Overall, great glamping experience! Lodging: The tents were clean, well stocked, and temperature controlled. There was a fridge, TV, wifi, beds, and towels supplied. Outside, there were chairs, a picnic bench, grill, and BBQ pit.
Just opened so they were still adding things to the pool area, game hall etc. But the birdhouse was clean and new (of course). Seats and grills everywhere. Cabanas galore. A bit too close together imo... but was ok since no one was near ours.
Getting married at Rio Cibolo Ranch
Rio Cibolo Ranch comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Rio Cibolo Ranch
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Rio Cibolo Ranch — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
