“We brought in a food truck and were able to enjoy a wonderful evening in the shade of the beautiful trees and amongst the backdrop of the Flint Hills.”
From the reviews
We held our wedding at Prairiewood and took advantage of the destination package. We thankfully were able to reserve the majority of the Prairiewood lodges for our weekend for a select group of guests, all of which had a wonderful time. RetreatHouse played an integral role in our weekend.
Had an amazing time while staying for 1 night at the Cottonwood suite for our 10yr anniversary (March 14). It was beautiful and met all our expectations, could only imagine coming back during optimal months. We will be returning send also highly recommending to friends and family
As beautiful as the pictures are, they pale in comparison to the majestic beauty and tranquility this retreat offers. The staff was VERY helpful leading up to, and during the entire wedding event.
Beautiful, elegant and spacious home to stay for a family event! My family of 12 stayed at the RetreatHouse for 5 nights during my daughter’s wedding. We had plenty of space and were able to utilize the meeting room for the rehearsal dinner and for all the bridesmaids to get ready the morning of the wedding.
Getting married at RetreatHouse at Prairiewood
RetreatHouse at Prairiewood comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
