From the reviews
Not only is Rancho Los Cerritos an amazing hidden gem of a museum to visit, it’s also a lovely event venue space. We had our wedding here in May and we cannot recommend it enough! The space itself is stunning and it made the most beautiful backdrop for our special day.
Very cool place to bring the family and walk around exploring. The kids will enjoy looking around and exploring in the back yard. Check out the huge tree and beautiful flowers. Make a reservation online to help out if possible and ask for a scavenger hunt sheet for the kiddos!
A beautiful piece of history tucked away in Long Beach. This is a gem of a place that’s seldom visited. I would highly recommend doing the tour with the guide. Lovely garden that’s well kept and very peaceful.
I visited here with a couple other people and we had a volunteer give us a tour of the house and grounds, and we absolutely loved it. The guide was very knowledgeable (I believe his name was Tom) and the tour felt very personable and took about 2 hours, I absolutely recommend getting a tour if you can (it's free!).
Getting married at Rancho Los Cerritos
Rancho Los Cerritos comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Rancho Los Cerritos
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Rancho Los Cerritos — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
