We decided at the last minute to end Spring Break with a one day trip to the lodge and were able to get a Queen cabin with bunk beds, perfect for our family of 4. The lodge and the cabins are very charming! They are rustic but that just adds to the charm.
This is a charming lodge built in the 1940s with an addition built in the 80s. There are historic rooms & rooms in the 80s addition. There are also cabins available to rent, which are like a hotel rooms, but a bit more private. It is in need of some updating, but quaint.
My husband surprised me with a short trip (over night stay). We had never been to Pere Marquette lodge before. He booked a small cabin, but the door to cabin wouldn't close, so we had to move over to a room in the lodge.. The lodge was very beautiful. The restaurant was nice with a good fried chicken dinner..
My husband, I and my 5 years old stayed in one of the cabins for 3 nights and we totally loved it. Very cozy, clean room with nice outside area. The lodge looked well kept, pool was great. We had breakfast at their restaurant and was tasty at a good price.
