From the reviews
What a lovely venue for a beautiful lakeside wedding. The event building is very nice with chandeliers and tongue-in-groove pine on the ceilings. The bride's room is so adorably decorated! There is a long counter with six mirrors, a sofa, various chairs, and a few hooks to hang dresses.
Recently had my wedding at the Meadows at Peninsula Ranch. The venue itself is gorgeous and it was recently upgraded. The lake view is so beautiful and peaceful. Exactly what I was looking for the perfect wedding. The lodge has multiple rooms to accommodate 25 people or so.
This is exactly what the name says, a ranch, and there are the requisite buildings to prove it. Some loose animals too: donkey, zebra, and 4 very friendly dogs. Couple of caged Bobcats too. All buildings have cement floors: sleeping lodge, eating & reception pavillion, and a chapel.
This venue an absolute dream! The lodges are exquisitely decorated, the grounds are beautifully kept, gorgeous lake as your backdrop with a warm Texas breeze that makes you feel right at home! What makes this venue truly amazing are the event coordinators.
Getting married at Peninsula Ranch
Peninsula Ranch comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Peninsula Ranch
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Peninsula Ranch — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
