One word. Breathtaking! The farm is absolutely stunning. The on-site shop is fantastic, and you should spend some time in there, buying local. For anyone planning a wedding, this place will photograph beautifully.
It all started when I came across a blurry image of a lavender field on Google images as I was searching for a unique local wedding venue in NJ. Monica was just the sweetest to talk to over email and I had to go visit her property to see it in all it's glory for myself.
We had to cancel our big July 2020 destination wedding, and the owner Monica, worked with us very last minute, so we that could hold our tiny, intimate, elopement at the lavender farm instead.
My Honey surprised me on Mother’s Day weekend with a visit to this beautiful farm. Sadly, according to the lovely lady who graciously turned us around, they have changed their public hours, it appears the website is up to date, so check it out if you want to wising.
Getting married at Orchard View Lavender Farm
Orchard View Lavender Farm comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
