A few weeks ago, my husband and I gave a dinner reception to celebrate our recent elopement at Open Farmhouse. We were SO impressed with our experience with the venue as well as the hosts, Cody and Lincoln. It was truly the perfect way for us to celebrate our union.
This place is amazing. It was so recharging to be out of the city, and Cody & Lincoln are such gracious hosts. I've supported this beautiful farm & those who run it since I grabbed the best veggies ever from here and few years ago. Since then, I've attended events - most recently the Holiday Market & Poutine shack, where we had delicious poutine (locally sourced!) & purchased a beautiful handmade wreath and candles.
What a welcoming space! My partner and I have visited a couple of times now, and whether it’s their holiday market (with yummy food and drinks) or as a place for overnight stays, Open Farmhouse is building something awesome, with a real sense of warmth and budding community.
Getting married at Open Farmhouse
Open Farmhouse comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
