From the reviews
This was by far one of our most favorite Harvest Host stays! We stayed one night in our RV with the sheep! The various farm animals, and their respective homes on the farm, were a delight to tour! The store’s offerings of frozen, prepared foods and freeze dried foods, along with jams and textiles, were amazing!
Cool little place to visit and see the farm. Thanks for the tour today. Absolutely loved the little store. It had a slew of goods to choose from. We enjoyed also feeding the chickens. We got to see a baby goat and baby cows.
My husband & I were desperately in need of respite when we happened upon this establishment on Google. Because I am not from SC & my husband is a native, we've confined our recent travels within the borders of the state in an effort to show me more of SC. I cannot tell you what a find this place is.
We got to spend Christmas at the farm this year. The owner Kathy is amazing! She made sure we were comfortable and having a great time! The farmhouse is a bed n breakfast. All the rooms have a different view of the farm. It's so warm and inviting!
Getting married at Old McCaskill's Farm
Old McCaskill's Farm comes up for weddings, going by their listing and couples’ reviews. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
