From the reviews
We organized a memorial service there for someone who loved the water and nonprofits and hated late capitalism, honestly. The venue made the mic, the decorations, the catering EASY. The sight of the water and the huge timbers of the floor held us up, and made it better.
We held my brother's memorial here and it was the perfect space, plenty of room and all the trappings we needed. Mia was very helpful as was all the staff who worked with me over the years.
I've been coming to the NW Maritime Center for years for work and for fun with my family. It is such a treasure to the Port Townsend community for it's public spaces and programs. For boat-lovers there is a wealth of historical information, classes, giftshop and year-round events.
The venue features high ceilings and ample natural light streaming through large windows, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The layout is spacious, providing plenty of room for our guests to mingle. The event staff at the Northwest Maritime Center are exceptional—Marvin is always on hand to assist.
Getting married at Northwest Maritime
Northwest Maritime comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
