We are were traveling to Michigan and decided to stop at a vineyard along the way. We weren't sure if this winery had any food (website and other reviews didn't say). We called, but the line was busy. We decided to venture to the winery anyway (20 minutes out of the way).
Incredible. This is a must-visit location for you if you're in the area and love wine and absolutely wonderful, friendly hosts. We came here for a quick tasting and to grab a bottle and instead stayed for live music and bought several to take home.
Northern Sun is a must stop for all who enjoy wine and want to experience a real working Winery in the UP. Dave and Suzie Anthony have created a Gem in Bark River.
My wife and I made it a point to stop at Northern Sun Winery this afternoon on our way to Mackinac Island. We like supporting family owned and run wineries whenever possible.
