I recently had the incredible opportunity to photograph a wedding at the stunning Nestldown. This place completely blew me away! Nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains, the surroundings are absolutely breathtaking, with lush gardens and majestic trees creating a fairytale setting for any wedding.
This Venue is absolutely beautiful. If you have not seen it in person, you're missing out. The entire Nestldown staff is very courteous and prompt. It makes my work so easy as a photographer to focus on making beautiful images because the staff at Nestldown is so good at what they do. Cant recommend this venue more!
A honest review from a wedding photographer. I had my first wedding project at Nestldown back in 2013. I was madly falling in love with this place! I visited the site twice before the wedding, and that project also allowed me to win the ISPWP contest under the "venue" category.
I got married here in May 2022 and everything about it—from planning to the day of—was absolutely perfect. Everything went so smoothly thanks to the staff, and so many guests said it was the most beautiful venue they had ever seen. Would 100% recommend getting married at Nestldown, it will be a day you’ll never forget!
Getting married at Nestldown
Nestldown comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
