Extremely friendly staff (KJ) & even other guests! So much fun! The food was so varied & delicious. From prime rib to BBQ to risotto & tasty shrimp! An entire table of desserts! We'll definitely go back & bring guests!
My experience at the horse and hunt club was fabulous! I contacted them about hosting my diaper party for 20 guests. Everyone was able to experience shooting clay targets from a heat trailer, try different selections of shotguns, and host dinner in one of their log cabin with a bartender.
Very nice facilities for a company celebration. The pavilion was heated and they were able to drop the sides down to protect from the rain and wind. Very good staff and food, a nicely done bar and the guests were able to shoot too. We had about 100 people and it wasn't too crowded. A nice bonfire added to the evening.
I went to the hunters Lodge that sleeps 18 people. Four bedrooms and a loft common area. I held my parents 50th wedding anniversary too. The venue was fantastic and super affordable. I would recommend any time looking to host a gathering with all the amenities.
Getting married at Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club
Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
