We have been coming to Mike's Farm for years and have always done the family style meal and hayride and really enjoyed it. This year we decided to do the dinner show and buffet in the theater barn and didn't enjoy it nearly as much because it seemed a little unorganized.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The food was great, gift shop was nice, we were able to grab some really nice pumpkins on our hay ride (there was also a nice spectrum of pumpkin varieties, both in the "patch" and on pallets up by the store), and we had a blast loving on the animals.
What a magical holiday experience! We took the Festival of Lights hayride at Mike’s Farm (near Richlands, NC) tonight, and it completely exceeded our expectations.
We did the magic show. I actually made it up on stage and I am still trying to figure out how they did it 😆🤣😂 Dinner was simply but fantastic! The atmosphere was great.

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge.
