From the reviews
I had a wonderful stay at Merry Acres Inn! The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax during my stay. The property is beautiful, with a charming atmosphere and well-kept grounds.
Our family (especially our 8 month old daughter) was greeted warmly as soon as we entered the reception area. We were checking in early and she immediately gave us our keys and held a key for our father while we went to lunch.
We stay here every year for an event. It is one of my favorite hotels any where on the circuit. Very eclectic, certainly not the cookie cutter Suites, Comfort, or Holiday variety hotel.
Initial thoughts after staying one night: The prices are more than fair for what you get in the newly upgraded rooms. The staff has been super friendly so far. If you're only in town for a couple days, it's just a 2-3 minute drive from most quick bites (Cook-Out, Zaxby's, Krispey Kreme, etc.
Getting married at Merry Acres Inn
Merry Acres Inn comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Merry Acres Inn
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Merry Acres Inn — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
