My husband and I got married in October, and it truly was an amazing day! There are so many pros to this venue, but it also comes with a few cons, unfortunately. Cons: If you choose the outdoor ceremony option, there are steps that lead down to the area.
Adam and I got married at Merrick Hollow on May 1st and it was MAGICAL. The venue is perfect and so so beautiful. If you end up booking the venue: PLEASE pay extra for the in-house day of coordinator. Krista Lyons was absolutely phenomenal on my wedding day, and truly my savior.
I got married here in October and every thing was perfect, thanks to the staff and their accommodations. This was the first venue we looked at and we knew it was the one for us. The scenery is gorgeous and the reception area is very nice.
I can't say enough how beautiful and well ran this venue is. My daughter wanted a outdoor ceremony and this place delivered every expectation and more. Pay extra for the day of planners. As MOB the service that Sam and Sam Rea provided was priceless.

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
