We got married here on June 3rd, 2023. The communication was so easy via email between us and David/Chandler. They answered every single questions I had about the venue along the way and were very willing to have us come and look at it more than once.
My daughter was married here last weekend. We had booked the venue under the previous owners, last year. The new owners honored our contract and did a ton of work to the property to prepare it for our wedding, which was the first under the new owners. I cannot say enough good things about the new owners.
David and Chandler were more than accommodating and helped to make our wedding day so beautiful! They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish, and we were able to arrange multiple trips to the venue before our big day on 10/21/23, so we could plan decor accordingly. By far the best venue in the valley!
We got married at Homestead on McVey on September 30, 2023. David and Chandler were Amazing! They answered all of our questions we had and made it so easy to communicate via email. They both helped out with whatever we needed as well. This venue is so beautiful and would definitely recommend it.
Getting married at McVey Homestead
McVey Homestead comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
