From the reviews
We decided to attend comedy night at Everrets and had an amazing dinner with calamari and epic burgers, topped off with Creme Brule cheesecake! The drinks were excellent. We then decided a stay cation was in order and stayed in one of their amazing rooms.
My husband and I live just down the road, but felt like going somewhere, and we made the perfect choice. Dinner was fabulous. The room was adorable. The weather was perfect, the Northern Lights showed up. And when we couldn't sleep, we got up and went home. Who could ask for anything more, Staycations Rock!!
Wait staff is amazing.. The views are awesome. There is outside setting on the Wasilla Lake. Dinner reservations are recommended, but lunch time drop ins are always welcome. Don't be afraid to ask for something if not seen in the menu.. Absolutely Love This Place... We come here at least 3-4 times a month....
We rented this place because it was a resort and for the amenities a resort offers, how ever it was a holiday weekend so the restaurant and hotel closed early on Sunday and completely closed on Monday. So we didn't get use of the amenities. How ever the room was nice. With a great view of the lake and mountains.
Getting married at Mat-Su Resort
Mat-Su Resort comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Mat-Su Resort
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Mat-Su Resort — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
