We could not have imagined a more perfect venue for our wedding. Karen and her team were so understanding through the pandemic, and postponing our wedding was much easier than I expected it to be. The venue itself is gorgeous.
Lavender Oaks Farm is a fantastic venue and I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. I initially picked this spot because of the variety of space onsite - there is an outdoor pavilion, a back patio with firepits and a fireplace, an upstairs balcony, a bridal suite, and a groomsman cabin.
Lavender Oaks Farm, nestled in the heart of Chapel Hill, NC, is a true gem in the world of wedding venues. As the owner of Fancy This Photography, I've had the pleasure of photographing numerous weddings at this enchanting location, and each time, it's been an absolute delight.
We have so many great things to say, where do we even begin… Having Lavender Oaks as our wedding venue was the best decision we ever made! Not only is the farm one of the most beautiful venues out there, but we also got the most amazing wedding planner and experience we could have ever of asked for with Karen!

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
