Beautiful venue to have gatherings and weddings. Historic home called the Mormon House. Amazing view of the river
I was married in March 2021 at this location. The weather was perfect and this place allows some of the most beautiful perspectives. The hanging moss and being able to look over the river made it very special for us.
I don’t even know how to start this review because there are way too many positive things to say. It all started when my now wife and I were wanting to find a truly magical old Florida wedding venue close to the water.
I don't know where to start so I will start from the beginning. I was a newly engaged Bride to be in 2024. I was doing the usually deep dive search for venues. I knew I wanted an outdoor venue and something that really made me feel like I was in the Florida that I love and grew up in.
Getting married at La Venture Grove
La Venture Grove comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
