From the reviews
We were so honored to be invited guests at an amazing wedding this past weekend on September 3rd 2023 at Lajoya Dulce Ranch. We had never been to Steamboat Springs so we called Lajoya Dulce for suggestions for lodging and area activities. We spoke with Kathie the owner and boy did she come through for us.
Updated review after our “we do, part two!”: After having our larger ceremony and reception at LJD a couple weeks ago, I wanted to provide an update on our full experience. Our second wedding and ceremony went absolutely perfectly.
We live here locally in Steamboat and it meant the world to us to be able to get married in a place we love so much. Everything about this venue is amazing! We had the best experience and all our guests had THE BEST time.
I decided to plan my elopement in Steamboat Springs-my dream destination for my winter wedding-a place I hadn’t visited since I was a child. As a full-time prosecutor and step-mom to three kids under the age of 12, I had precious little time between the hours of midnight and 6 am to plan this elopement (and ski…
Getting married at La Joya Dulce
La Joya Dulce comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
