Homestake Lodge is already renowned for being one of the top destinations in the world, not just North America, for Cross-Country Skiing and Weddings and other special events, and for its amazing surroundings and outdoor activities. But Mark and Lauren and their family make this place even more special.
I cannot express how wonderful our wedding weekend was. Lauren was so easy to work with and answered all of our questions quickly. The venue was absolutely gorgeous.
My niece had her rehearsal party & wedding here Aug. 15 & 16, 2025. Beautiful place & spectacular setting! We didn't stay on-site but I did see the cabin (cottage?) that my sister & brother-in-law had for the weekend & was sorry we didn't make arrangements to stay at least one night.
If I could give 10 stars, I would. I've had the pleasure of visiting during the summer months for the most beautiful wedding venue and winter months to enjoy epic xc skiing. The lodge is gorgeous, the atmosphere feels like home, and I can't speak highly enough of Mark, Lauren, and their family that run the show.
Getting married at Homestake Lodge
Homestake Lodge comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
