From the reviews
The Most Magical Wedding Venue on the East Coast There truly are no words that could fully capture the gratitude we have for Chad and the entire Historic Whitewood team. After 13 years of love, growth, and resilience – starting from the time we were just 16 years old – our wedding was more than a celebration.
Choosing historic Whitewood for our wedding venue was the best decision we made by far. Not only is the property insanely beautiful but, the owner Chad is one of the nicest most personable people we’ve ever met, something that we found is very rare when it comes to wedding vendors.
We recently had the pleasure of hosting our daughter’s wedding at Historic Whitewood and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we toured the space, the Chad and Sarah’s warmth and professionalism stood out. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and so well maintained.
My husband and I cannot recommend Whitewood and its amazing team highly enough. Chad and Sarah designed a microwedding package specifically for us and worked tirelessly to make our wedding day positively incredible.
Getting married at Historic Whitewood
Historic Whitewood comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Historic Whitewood
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Historic Whitewood — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
