I had my winter wedding at Hillside Events and it was amazing. I used decoration that they provided and there was so much to choose from to make it the winter wonderland I had imagined. Thanks to Melissa Smith (the owner) the day went so smooth and the venue looked beautiful!
Booking Hillside Events was the BEST decision. Melissa made everything go so smoothly. She was always incredibly responsive and organized and she handled everything! She helped organize everything in advance, did all of the decor, helped all the vendors get set up, and just kept everything going smoothly.
Owners were fantastic to work with. Very up front with pricing. It always felt like they truly wanted to help make sure your wedding day was perfect and not just another sale. On top of the great owners, the venue is beautiful. Just look at the pictures or go on a tour...it really sells itself.
My wife and I had our wedding on September 14th this year and Hillside Events was an amazing venue for us! During the year leading up to our wedding Melissa was great at communicating with us and keeping everything on track.

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
