On June 22, 2025, I had the pleasure of having my retirement celebration at the Hampton Roads Event Center in Newport News Va. This was the first time planning an event of this size. (100 guest) Robin was so patient with me and assisted me throughout the process.
I do not often write reviews but I must take the time to write a review for Hampton Roads Event Center (HREC). In a very awkward turn of events, I found out 4 hours before a very detailed and planned Surprise Celebration that I had no venue due to unforeseen circumstances.
The venue is sophiscated & elegant!!! Robin #1, the owner, & Robin #2, master decorator, are amazing! They are extremely attentive, creative, & detailed oriented! We had a wonderful time & was very pleased with the outstanding service that they provided!!!
The venue was amazing to celebrate my husband’s birthday ! The entire family enjoyed everything! The event center was clean and had everything that we could possibly need. They had a good variety of decorations that we used. The nearby hotels that were recommended did not disappoint.
