The Felton Guild is such a charming and peaceful forest venue tucked away in the Redwoods, and I recently had the honor of photographing a wedding here; I absolutely fell in love with the setting!
Having been a florist primarily in the wedding business for almost thirty years, I've designed for weddings all over the bay are, from Villa Montalvo in Saratoga, to Pebble beach in Carmel.
We had the most beautiful wedding ceremony and reception at Felton Guild this past Saturday. It was an absolute blast! The venue is gorgeous and the perfect size (we had a little under 70 guests). Kathy was extremely helpful and responsive throughout all the planning and had fantastic vendor recommendations.
This venue truly is a hidden gem. It was the first venue we visited and after 10+ other ones, we still couldn’t get it out of our head. We got married in August, when the greenery was full, so it meant the space was naturally beautiful and didn’t need as much florals or decor.
Getting married at Felton Guild
Felton Guild comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
