From the reviews
It was a nice place for a conference. The barn was nice, but when the rain started we could not hear the speakers at all. The metal roof and no insulation didn't work at all with the driving rain. Fortunately it didn't last long.
Beautiful place for a wedding, was just a bit cold but what do you expect with October weather!
We had a wonderful day at Evergreen. We initially went for a native plant sale, but was pleasantly surprised by a tour of the family home filled with so many artifacts from 1800 1900s. The barn is quite nice. The oldest bank barn, I believe in MD. The grounds are beautiful, the oldest pine tree in MD.
Had our wedding here and it was beautiful! There's no running water it makes it hard but its still beautiful and they will try there very best to make sure you have everything you need even let us use there umbrellas bc it was raining and we forgot ours ..couldn't have asked for a better place . Very beautiful
Getting married at Evergreen Heritage Center
Evergreen Heritage Center comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Evergreen Heritage Center
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Evergreen Heritage Center — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
