From the reviews
Ethridge Farms is an amazing place near Big Thicket Preserve. We stayed in Deer Run Cabin which was very authentic rustic but with all the conveniences of home including; AC, hot water, mini kitchen, nice bathroom and bedroom with King size bed.
We stayed in the cabin on Blueberry Hill for four nights: it wasn’t long enough. We didn’t want to leave. It was so secluded and peaceful. Nothing better than enjoying the porch swing on a mild October evening. Visiting with Miss Ann over her delicious breakfasts was definitely one of the highlights of our stay.
Omg! Ms Ann was so amazing. Our cabin was beautiful the location amazing!!! My boyfriend asked me to marry him at our cabin and we plan to have a ceremony there! Amazing family vacation spot. Read the guest books in the cabins! Drive Ghost Rd. Go to Lumberton to 10 de mayo and Tia Juanita’s fish camp!!! Amazing!!!!
This is a remote location in the Big Thicket and comes with all of the peace and quiet one could hope for. The owner and staff are friendly and accommodating, right down to their super friendly dogs. The cabin is rustic, but was expected to be so-you aren't booking a room at the Hyatt.
Getting married at Ethridge Farm Bed and Breakfast
Ethridge Farm Bed and Breakfast comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Ethridge Farm Bed and Breakfast
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Ethridge Farm Bed and Breakfast — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
