My wife and I recently had our wedding here at the Courtyard Barns and we could not have chosen a better venue. Constance, the event coordinator, was absolutely amazing during the planning process, the set up and decorating, and during the ceremony and reception.
Me and my Wife had our wedding here in OCT of 2025 and our entire wedding party and guests stayed in the mountain view cabins and Elkhorn ridge was easy tow rok with about making sure we had enough cabins for every one.
We stayed at Elkhorn Ridge Resort in Spearfish, SD from 5/22 to 5/29 Getting There: Very easy access off the interstate. Good signage, easy to navigate once you arrive. Customer Service/Checking In: The girls at the front desk were professional and made the process seamless.
Spearfish and the Black Hills are a great area. We stayed here for a week in September 2022 (and for another week in 2025). Very nice RV Resort and amenities, overall, though pricey. Ample sites, truly big rig friendly (unlike so many who say they are but aren't). Dog park is a long walk from just about everywhere.
Getting married at Elkhorn Ridge Resort

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge.
