From the reviews
Our family spent a long weekend decompressing at East of Yellowstone Lodge and Retreat in Dixon, IL. Now I understand why the bookings are for two nights, because the peace that floods into your soul sneaks in when you're asleep.
Our family of 20, ages of 6 months to 70's spent Xmas at the lodge. Everything was available to us. Everyone had rooms in the lodge, activities included---pool room, movie theater room, game room. On Xmas eve, we were invited to Christmas at the Barn, a non denominational Xmas service with live animals.
We had our wedding there, and let me tell you what.... Absolutely perfect. Not only was the location perfect for what we wanted, but the owners went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for the big day. From quick response, flexible to our needs, and just personal good vibes, they're doing it.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with close family and friends at East Of Yellowstone and the beautiful Crystal Lodge. The lodge is absolutely stunning and provided ample space for our guests. We enjoyed a bonfire, walks along the trails, the game rooms, and the home theatre.
Getting married at East of Yellowstone Lodge and Retreat
East of Yellowstone Lodge and Retreat comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at East of Yellowstone Lodge and Retreat
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at East of Yellowstone Lodge and Retreat — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
