From the reviews
I have photographed many lovely weddings at the Duportail House in Chesterbrook, PA. This property is gorgeous for a wedding! Perfect backdrops for photography include an old barn, a porch with ornate fencing, a bridge with a creek, old trees, and manicured gardens. You step back in time in this 1740 farmhouse.
My wife Sophie and I hosted our wedding in November 2015 and loved every minute of it. Our guests had a wonderful time. We knew from the relentless comments about how great everything was from the ceremony, food and service to the music. We had about 120 guests and everyone was very comfortable.
Absolutely beautiful historic estate on the edge of Valley Forge. We attended a wedding there, and we had a great experience. There is a house and some barns. The events are much better if they can use the outdoor spaces (we had beautiful weather). The facilities are not setup for a traditional wedding hall reception.
My wife and I just had our ceremony at Duportail House and absolutely loved it. Kate was wonderful to work with the past few months, always answering our questions and giving great suggestions. The day was relaxed and organized with her help.
Getting married at Duportail House-Chesterbrook
Duportail House-Chesterbrook comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Duportail House-Chesterbrook
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Duportail House-Chesterbrook — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
