From the reviews
I stayed at the rental property on the farm listed through Airbnb and had a wonderful experience. Dan and Lisa were very thorough with instructions before I arrived and were super welcoming and kind. We felt right at home. The cottage was very homey and comfortable and was stocked with everything we needed.
The Disenhouse Farm was the perfect venue for my summer event and again in the winter! The farm overlooks the surrounding forests and mountains and provides many options for entertainment and relaxation. There are plenty of parking spaces for guests.
Beautiful setting, great place to stay in the Blue Ridge area. Lisa was a pleasure to meet. The barn and animals made the experience a wonderful one. Hope to stay again. Thank you!
This home is fantastic. Its adorable. It sleeps 4 people(2 on a pull out queen couch bed, and 2 in the bedroom.) My husband and I stayed over Easter weekend. We were able to interact with the horses and the cows by approaching them at the gates (don’t open the gates!
Getting married at Disenhouse Farm
Disenhouse Farm comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Disenhouse Farm
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Disenhouse Farm — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
