Johnson wedding was epic at DC Winery (see photos). Approx 200 guests, had the traditional elements, then danced all night! Full custom wedding receptions.
Lovely place, really pretty property. We got wine flights and took them out to the Adirondack chairs by the creek and really enjoyed the serenity and sips!
Upon arrival we were definitely impressed. My wife and I frequent numerous wineries in the tri-state area and both were blown away by the establishment. As you pull into the driveway and pass under the archway you can't help but smile when you see the estate unfold before you.
This is a clean and modern place devoid of any real personality but it does have a great selection of pretty good wines, as well as a bare bones patio to enjoy them on. We got a couple bottles to take home and were pretty pleased with our selections.
Getting married at DC Estate Winery
DC Estate Winery comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
