I was a guest at Crown Hill Farm for a public screening of my feature length food documentary. I stayed in the farm house and had a very enjoyable stay. While visiting there was also a CSA pickup and farm to table dinner.
We visited the farm for a dinner with the Chef from the Albright Knox Art Gallery. The whole experience was magical. The event was 4hrs long and included: A tour of the farm with Missy (the owner) who is SUPER knowledgeable about farming, animal care, climate care, environmental protection, traditional farming…
What a wonderful place! The owner, Missy Singer-Dumars has done a fantastic job of bringing Crown Hill back as a working farm, growing organic, sustainable, heritage produce to supply local restaurants and sell in season at farmers markets in the Hamburg, Eden and Concord area.
I had an amazing time at Crown Hill Farm. The botanical dying event was something I will always remember. The food, the atmosphere was truly beautiful. I cannot wait to go again.
Getting married at Crown Hill Farm
Crown Hill Farm comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
