From the reviews
Beautiful garden, they really take great care of the grounds. Flowers were starting to bloom the colors are amazing. We did the nature trail it was a lot of dirt walking but worth it. Came across a turtle in the trail, benches along the way if you need a rest break. Took a tour of the farm house, barn, bee farm.
This is a beautiful and well maintained botanical garden with locations that would be good for photographers, nature lovers, and really anyone who likes pretty places. The new fountain feature and walkways are peaceful additions to an already wonderful place.
The garden has beautiful Christmas lights set up at this time of the year. There was free parking at the school or the church just across the street (the church was the closest option but filled up the fastest). There were a few hot chocolate stands with adult options.
Our organization hosted a 75-person dinner at the Garden in April 2026. We used the beautiful (and brand new) greenhouse addition for a cocktail hour and had dinner under their lighted tent. The Botanical Garden Events Team was extremely helpful for the entire planning process.
Getting married at Columbus Botanical Garden
Columbus Botanical Garden comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Columbus Botanical Garden
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Columbus Botanical Garden — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
