From the reviews
As a pastor and missionary, I have had the joy of travelling quite a bit on every continent except Antarctica, and there would be very few places that I have had the joy of seeing that surpass the natural beauty of the place that my wife and I now call home in this Holston Mountain region of Appalachia.
My *now* husband came across Cascades on Google and we went to tour the venue and were blown away with how beautiful the space is! Melinda was extremely helpful throughout our entire planning process and made sure our vision for our wedding day was perfect.
My husband and I had our reception here. We were immediately drawn in by the beauty and unique setup of the venue. We had a great experience every step of the way from the initial visit, to a follow-up visit and planning, and eventually the actual preparation and event days.
My daughter had her wedding here and it was absolutely perfect! Everyone in town knows how beautiful this place is and you can tell from the advertised pictures that it's a one of a kind location but what I was most impressed with was the staff.
Getting married at Cascades at Parks Mill
Cascades at Parks Mill comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Cascades at Parks Mill
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Cascades at Parks Mill — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
