From the reviews
Been cutting the grass for 4 almost years. You couldn't ask for a better secluded southern wedding venue, or vacation spot. Breathtaking views of sunsets, over looking endless marshes off the dock. Kayaks on hand, oyster cooker/fire pit, grill.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! My wife and I got married at Captains Bluff in December 2019. Lauren was SO accommodating. The property is jaw dropping. We rented the bluff house and boat house to house our wedding parties and that worked perfectly since they were on-site and we're able to hold our group.
We had our wedding at Captains Bluff and we couldn’t have asked for a better spot!! We had the rehearsal dinner and wedding there and it was perfect! The views are amazing and the houses on property are awesome for bridal parties to stay in! Lauren and Jimmy were both so helpful and made sure all our needs were met!
Had our wedding here a couple weeks ago. Unbelievably gorgeous setting. We rented out all 3 houses and had the ceremony and reception at the Captains Bluff house. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful setting to have their wedding or just looking for a relaxing vacation spot.
Getting married at Captain's Bluff
Captain's Bluff comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
