We stayed for 4 nights and for the first 2 we were the only ones there. It was peaceful!! The road in is an old county road and is paved. The Ranch is 13 miles outside of Carlsbad, abut 3-4 miles from the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns National Park, and around 30 miles from Guadeloupe Mountains National Park.
We stayed here 5 years ago. We came back again because we loved it.It’s a little oasis in the desert. We have read some reviews that people have left that seem unfair. This place is rustic and basic which we love. It’s definitely not glamorous but it’s an authentic American experience.
This place is beautiful. My as beautiful step-daughter had her wedding here and it was beautiful 😍 She picked the perfect place to start her new life.
This place was a great find. Searching online for lodging and hotels it never came up. If the place was called Camp Washington Lodging Carlsbad, NM or Camp Washington Hotel Carlsbad NM, it would come up on search engines.

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception.
