From the reviews
I can't say enough positive things about Bishop Farmstead and the JMC staff. Working with Danielle throughout the entire process followed by Erika at the final steps of setup was a dream. They answered every question and were extremely attentive and catering to every request.
When we toured Bishop Farmstead it felt like a surreal experience. Their ceremony, cocktail, and reception spots blew us away. At one point I looked over at my now husband, Sean, and he looked concerned. I pulled him aside and asked him what was wrong?
We are just thrilled that we chose this venue for our upcoming wedding! We were looking all over for a rustic barn setting, but none seemed to catch our eye until Bishop Farmstead.
My fiancé and I are getting married here in a few weeks and we are beyond excited! This was the only venue we toured and fell in love immediately. The hayloft where the reception is held is breathtaking and the grounds for the ceremony and cocktail hour are very well-kept.
Getting married at Bishop Farmstead
Bishop Farmstead comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Bishop Farmstead
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Bishop Farmstead — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
