My husband and I stayed for a total of two nights at one of their primitive camping spots and had such an amazing experience. The sky was beautiful with no street lights to interfere and the wooden area was so peaceful and serene. Mr. and Mrs.
Me and my bf stayed here for two days and Lisa picked us up in her vehicle and gave us a wonderful tour around the farm and it was super beautiful and she showed us all the flowers and stuff :) we found our site and we realized we forgot our tent like a dummy and she let us rent hers which was extremely nice!
We visited Bates Farm with our homeschool co-op and had a wonderful time! The owners are very knowledgeable and hands-on. My kids especially loved learning about the native plants and animals, archery and shooting bows, and crafting. They also had a blast on the playground.
Getting married at Bates-Farm
Bates-Farm comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
