From the reviews
I'm a wedding photographer in the DSM area, and I recently photographed a wedding at Barnes' Place - it was gorgeous! So much space and variety on the property, and wonderful lighting opportunities. Paula and the staff were wonderful as well. Can't say enough good things about it!
The staff was very friendly, the owner was very attentive and always present. It is a beautiful place and the food is vastly superior to the normal wedding dinners. This is my first experience with this kind of venue for a wedding and I highly recommend it.
Our friends hosted their wedding and reception at Barns place, and it was picturesque and magical. The facility was beautiful, their hospitality was amazing, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Great experience, thank you!
Lovely venue. Great service Outdoor wedding on December 2nd. Absolutely perfect. Loved all the decor.
Getting married at Barnes’ Place, LLC.
Barnes’ Place, LLC. comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Barnes’ Place, LLC.
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Barnes’ Place, LLC. — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
