From the reviews
After touring over 20 venues in the Des Moines area, I found Bailey Farms through the Knot and began messaging with the owner, Montana. She was so accommodating for a tour and my fiancé and I drove out there with an open mind but expecting another not-quite-our-style venue. When we pulled up, my jaw dropped.
Bailey Farms was more than just our wedding venue. It was our home for the weekend. I knew after our wedding there would be somethings I wish we would have done differently but choosing Bailey Farms as our wedding venue was definitely not one of those!
This country farm venue is absolutely stunning everywhere you look! The venue grounds are beautifully manicured and cared for with all kinds of flowers, trees and shrubs. The accents of old machinery, grain bin turned bar, stream and pond and various patio spaces are perfect.
We had our wedding at Bailey Farm and Barn Venue in Iowa on May 31, 2025, and we are still in awe of how truly perfect the day was. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the one. The property is so well maintained and naturally beautiful, we hardly needed to add a thing.
Getting married at Bailey Farms Barn and Venue
Bailey Farms Barn and Venue comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Bailey Farms Barn and Venue
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Bailey Farms Barn and Venue — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
