From the reviews
I was married here in August. Our wedding venue was sadly badly damaged in the Cruso flooding. We had one week to find a different venue, and I am so thankful that John (the owner) took our call. He was incredibly accommodating, and I can’t say enough how amazing our experience was.
I can't say enough great things about this beautiful venue! My daughter and her new husband were married there on September 20, 2015. John and Sarah went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was perfect!
We had our wedding here in October 2025 and it was the perfect fall wedding!! We were very lucky with ideal autumn weather and we were very happy with the venue - it’s a truly incredible value, our guests loved the rustic vibes, and most importantly we just had a ton of fun!! Thank you John and Heather!
I honestly cannot say enough in praise of Appalachian Farm Weddings and gratitude for the owner, John Leatherwood. From the moment we visited the venue for the first time, until over a year and a half later for the wedding, John has been with us every step of the way.
Getting married at Appalachian Farm Weddings & Events | A Rustic Farm Wedding Venue
Appalachian Farm Weddings & Events | A Rustic Farm Wedding Venue comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Appalachian Farm Weddings & Events | A Rustic Farm Wedding Venue
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Appalachian Farm Weddings & Events | A Rustic Farm Wedding Venue — barn venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
